TEROSON® RB II

Features and Benefits

A multi-purpose and multi-substrate, self-adhesive, permanently plastic-profiled, synthetic-rubber sealing tape.
TEROSON® RB II is a dark grey, self-adhesive, permanently plastic-profiled, synthetic rubber-based sealing tape for applications such as overlapping joints and the fixation of bumpers. It's typically used in sheet assembly and plant apparatus manufacturing, as well as household appliance and air conditioning/ventilation equipment manufacturing for sealing overlapping steel, steel sheets, aluminium, glass, and plastic constructions. It’s also proven effective in the automotive and vehicle industry, e.g. for the quarter panels, floor area, boot and cable lead-troughs. It can be used for spacing and protecting against corrosion between steel and non-ferrous metals. It also serves as a vibration damper. It is used as an inner sealant (the sealed parts need to be fixed mechanically, e.g. by clamps, screws, rivets or similar) and it allows for re-opening sealed joints for servicing, repairs or recycling. Due to its tackiness, TEROSON RB II adheres to most surfaces and is compatible with various substrates. It can be painted with conventional paints based on oil and synthetic resins and exhibits very good water and aging resistance. Surface pretreatment with TEROSON® VR 10 is recommended before application.
